Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Orebody Knowledge Solutions Specialist to join our team Veracio team in Santiago, Chile.

The Orebody Knowledge Solutions Specialist is a pivotal role in our commercial organization, responsible for competently articulating the value of Veracio's best-in-class OBK platforms to our target prospects, accounts and customers as an integral part of our sales engagements. The role reports into the Regional Commercial VP.

The primary focus of this position is to proactively identify and qualify target customers; understand and document their specific requirements, challenges and needs; and help position Veracio’s capabilities as the optimal solution. The ability to develop customer specific ROI models or related business case justification to quantify return on investment is a key responsibility, so too the related technical support for bid submission and/or RFx and contracting processes.

The role is best suited to someone with a Geology/Geosciences background and with supporting competencies in related technologies and software. Ideally an individual who already possesses subject matter expertise ( or who can rapidly become adept) across Veracio’s evolving portfolio of Orebody Knowledge Platforms. Broadly these include: Real-Time Digital Sensing (Core/Chip Scanning); Mine-Spec Tooling and downhole instrumentation; Drill productivity & analytics; and Data Services, Software & AI.

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a willingness and desire to solve challenging problems in the mining, resources and related drilling services sectors by way of the deployment of Veracio’s portfolio of OBK solutions. The role requires extensive direct engagement with target prospects, accounts and customers noting the strong focus on becoming the “trusted advisor” in complex, often technical, consultative sales engagements. The role will also be required to support internal sales enablement and broader thought leadership externally in publications, events & conferences as needed.

The OBK Solutions Specialist will be engaged on numerous sales pursuits and market development initiatives at any one time; supporting the global team of Commercial Directors and Market VP’s whom will be leveraging this critical expertise to deliver upon regional and global growth ambitions. A strong attention to detail; combined with solid time management and multi-tasking skills; plus the desire and ability to work in a fast paced, growth mode organization will be extremely well regarded.

Responsibilities

  • Be customer centric. Be the “trusted advisor” in any/all sales pursuits and related market engagements as it relates to Veracio’s Orebody Knowledge platforms.

  • Conduct comprehensive research to gather valuable market intelligence related to the mining industry, including emerging trends, competitive analysis, and potential target markets.

  • Profile and analyze key target accounts, gaining insights into their specific needs, pain points, and challenges to tailor our solutions effectively.

  • Lead the development of persuasive business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) models to showcase the value of Veracio OBK platforms internally and externally.

  • Collaborate with Veracio Commercial Directors and Market VP’s to provide essential technical input and support in preparing well-rounded bid responses; RFx submission that align with client requirements and Veracio’s capabilities.

  • Collaborate with Veracio Marketing to support of the creation and delivery of unique value-based messaging and positioning.

  • Work closely with Commercial, Calibration, Product and Operations teams to define compelling project proposals, clearly communicating the benefits of Veracio’s best-in-class platforms.

  • Support in the creation of comprehensive SOWs that outline project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements; to be included in bid submissions and resultant commercial contract agreements

  • Offer expert guidance on solution architecture to ensure the seamless integration of Veracio OBK platforms aligned with client needs and operational requirements.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Veracio OBK Platforms, both current capabilities and future developments, to serve both as an in-house and market facing subject matter expert for the organization.

  • Analyze and identify value drivers delivered by Veracio OBK Platforms across different mining operations, considering our capabilities and the specific needs of our clients.

  • Collaborate within the global Commercial team to identify and communicate high-value opportunities worth pursuing, along with clear identification and communication of value drivers.

  • Provide technical expertise and support during client calls, assisting the Commercial Directors and Market VP’s in addressing inquiries and showcasing the advantages of Veracio’s OBK Platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bilingual/Multilingual capabilities (English – mandatory; Desirable: Spanish; Portuguese; French; Arabic)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geochemistry and/or Geophysics, or closely related field.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market and account intelligence effectively (knowledge of S&P Global Intelligence platform or related a plus)

  • Proficiency in ROI modelling and business case development.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with Veracio Orebody Knowledge platforms, or similar mining-related technologies is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

  • Inquisitive and enthusiastic self-motivator

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build a positive culture

  • Excellent oral & written communication skills, with an ability to engage at all levels, from technically proficient operators, geologists through to middle-senior management to C-Suite.

  • Ability to understand mining client needs and limitations tied to mineral exploration and processing based on site specific geology.

  • Demonstrated success to support product development.

  • Ability to travel frequently
