Amergis Behavioral Midlevel in Santa Rosa, California

The Behavioral Midlevel is a trained individual who provides behavioral services and case management to students in an educational setting and provides field training and supervision to School Aides, Behavior Technicians, and related field staff under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops goals, teaching strategies, and behavior change plans using Applied Behavior Analysis principles under the supervision of a BCBA
Provides behavioral services to students with an IEP designation, general classroom support, or students with a behavior change plan
Trains School Aides and Behavior Technicians in the field on behavioral principles, implementing behavior change plans, implementing skill acquisition goals, data collection, and how to work through or address challenging behavior
Writes behavior change plans and progress reports on behavior rates and skill acquisition goals
Monitors progress and effectiveness of implemented behavioral and teaching strategies
Analyzes, writes reports, and presents data and progress in an easy to understand format
Works with other on-site supervisors such as teachers, administrators, psychologists, etc. to identify and establish behavioral strategies that will produce long term success through maintenance and generalization
Minimum Requirements:
Must hold applicable license, certification, or registration in area of behavior analysis (e.g. ABAT, BCAT, LABA, or BCaBA)
Bachelor’s degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology, or related field required
Preferred experience in providing behavior analytic services in school
BCBA certification or current enrollment in BCBA and/or Master’s level program preferred
One year minimum pediatric experience preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
Computer proficiency required
Must be at least 18 years of age
