UCLA Health Surgical Clinical Reviewer (On-Site) in Santa Monica, California

You

will leverage clinical decision making and data to identify trends and

opportunities for improvement related to the surgical quality programs. This includes

Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and the National Surgical Quality

Improvement program. You will be responsible for overseeing our participation in

the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Quality Improvement programs while

ensuring high-quality clinical screening, data compilation, and submission of

all eligible UCLA Health surgeries into the ACS database. You will support our Vision

to facilitate and improve clinical quality and patient safety outcomes for the

communities we serve. You will also facilitate compliance with ACS quality

improvement program requirements and promote an overall culture of safety. This role is

critical in helping us achieve our goal of becoming a transformative,

high-reliability organization with an uncompromising focus on patient safety

and clinical quality outcomes.

UCLA Health salary range for this title code is $112,900-256,900/annually . Please note that the department's target pay range is $150,000 - $175,000/annually.

Qualifications

We're

seeking a self-motivated, results-driven strategic thinker with:

  • BSN required - MS/MSN/MBA/healthcare-related Master's degree preferred

  • Current California RN License

  • Ability to obtain ACS program certification within one year of hire

  • Direct patient care/clinical experience

  • Two or more years of quality/patient safety experience

  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A passion for quality and safety

  • Experience using data to identify process improvement opportunities

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
