Johnson and Johnson MedTech is currently recruiting for a Vice President, Program Execution Strategy for OTTAVA Surgical Robotics Portfolio based in Santa Clara, CA.

The VP, Program Execution Strategy, will support in identifying and shaping strategies and solutions that drive business growth and innovation in pursuit of the long-term business strategy. This role will report to the President, OTTAVA. You will also serve as key partner to the VP of R&D and the Ottava Platform cross-functional Leadership Team to ensure alignment, accountability and focus needed for effective execution of critical R&D projects and strategies. This position is based in Santa Clara, CA.

The primary objectives of this role include:

Strategy

  • Identify and shape strategies and solutions that drive business growth and innovation in pursuit of the long-term business strategy.

  • Work closely with OTTAVA Leadership to effectively drive strategic decisions and provide a strategic execution roadmap for the OTTAVA organization.

  • Drive the implementation of governance, processes to organize and manage the OTTAVA program, including prioritization, resource allocation, and measurement against goals and objectives to ensure that business commitments are achieved.

  • Partner with Finance to ensure close alignment on budget, resource forecasting and measurement as well as all financial processes related to unique business relationships and alliances

  • Organize and manage the OTTAVA project portfolio, including prioritization, business case, resources, project timelines, deliverables, and metrics

  • Accountable for securing trade-off decisions to help the team manage the triple constraint (time, scope, resources) and for appropriate escalation of challenges cross-functionally.

  • Lead a team of project heads and project managers and be responsible for all aspects of the execution of the Ottava program.

  • Accountable for Program execution of cross-functional Ottava Teams.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • An engineering degree is required.

  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

  • 15 years of Project / Program leadership experiences is required.

  • Previous experience in medical device industry leading strategy and program execution is highly preferred.

  • Previous experience launching medical technology products or launching complex capital equipment in regulated industry is required.

  • Previous successful leadership of sizeable, diverse technical organization with track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining talent is required.

  • Global Portfolio experience preferred.

  • Market development or value/demand creation through experience with customer and market insights or through experience in marketing or other critical functions such as sales, R&D, operations, finance, business development or related area is required.

  • 10 years of relevant R&D/commercial experience, driving operations and partnering with senior executives is required.

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in project management and program management processes and tools is required.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across all levels of the company and functions is essential.

  • The ability and willingness to travel both domestic and international up to 30% of the time is required.

The anticipated base pay for this role is $215,000 to $396,750.
