At InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort we are looking for Conference & Event Services Manager to lead our Events Team.

Your day-to-day

  • Manage the Event Service operation to ensure the achievement of established food and beverage quality and guest service quality standards and departmental revenue and profit goals.

  • Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.

  • The moment a guest arrives at one of our events, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. And in this key pivotal role reporting to the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will work closely with the event planning team to ensure the smooth and efficient service of event operations.

  • Co-ordinating the day to day operations of the events space to achieve set financial and guest experience targets.

  • You will also be responsible for coaching, developing and motivating colleagues, promoting a positive team culture where our colleagues are driven and empowered to deliver a guest experience that is unique, brining the brand to life.

  • Work across multiple outlets within the food & beverage operation, aiming to exceed monthly targets and demonstrate a great understanding of the importance of effective rostering, payroll, company policies, and OH&S standards.

  • You will also support the Resort’s responsible business priorities around our community and environmental initiatives.

  • Collaborate and attend meetings with other departments, ensuring communication and implementation of outcomes flow through to the team and reflect company standards

The ideal candidate must have;

  • Bachelor’s degree/higher education qualification/equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field plus 4+ years of related experience, including management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certification

  • Safe Food Handling certification

  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

  • Leadership Skills & Hands-on approach.
