Eaton Corporation Finance Leader in San Luis Potosi, Mexico

Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Finance Leader.

What you’ll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

This position is responsible for leading the development and preparation of financial reports, forecasting processes, and evaluating financial plan and budgets. This position is expected to lead the operations and other functions (PLM’s, staff. supervisors, etc.), through timely and accurate achieving and/or exceeding financial goals.

This position supports Finance Manager to ensure financial accounting and reporting for business follows USGAAP and local statutory requirements and the Eaton Corporate policies and practice. This role leas the development of forecast and analysis of forecasts and actual performance and operational metrics, inventory accounting as well as being responsible for the participating in the profit plan with a focus on cost savings projects, capital and sales and cost of goods sold through different legal entities.

This position acts as liaison with GFSS, NAC and Finance corporate functions to coordinate month end close and budget preparation and financial reporting processes and as well as support internal and external audits. This position supports continues improvement and cost out initiatives for finances and business segment under.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

A. Lead the preparation of the profit plan, rolling forecast and weekly performance reporting. Drives business to meet or exceed short term & long-term goals, initiatives and expectations.

B. Review, analyze, and evaluate department budget system. Develop and implement reports for management use in evaluating results against performance targets.

C. Provide business partnership to all areas of plant regarding functional expertise and cross-functional support, providing guidance and education as needed to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives. Act as advisor and provide counsel to plant staff and personnel regarding financial operations and interpretation of financial information.

D. Support of cost accounting processes and general finance and accounting and finance projects.

E. Support the process to identify and quantify cost out opportunities and related data capture in database. Ensure integrity of financial information related to cost out projects.

F. Support implementation of improvements to monthly closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness, as well as continuously develop and improvement of financial modeling and tools.

G. Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to the various Eaton systems (Oracle, Encore, DFT, OBIEE, BSC, Dashboard, etc.)

H. Supports annual physical inventory activities ensuring compliance with corporate procedures and accuracy of physical count.

I. Responsible for sales accounting, Conc and other reporting and support on general budget control, sales & cost analysis, key contact for maquila accounting.

J. Establish and monitor compliance with internal accounting controls deemed necessary to ensure integrity of financial transactions, reporting and activities; and safeguarding of plant assets in adherence with corporate policies and procedures. Ensure compliance of statutory requirements as applicable to the plant.

K. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement in order to achieve departmental and plant goals. Supports plant, functional or corporate initiatives.

L. Lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work. Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals

Qualifications:

Education:

A. College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required.

B. Master in finance or administration and certification in process improvements is desirable.

C. Fluent business English is a must. Candidate should be experienced leading meetings and presentations with business leaders and Regional/Divisional Finance group.

Experience:

A. Significant experience required in Finance manufacturing and maquiladora environment including supervisory experience +8 years.

B. Significant experience in Financial Planning, Forecasting and Budget control by using financial forecast data to provide forward looking projections to facilitate decision making; partners with stakeholders to analyze trends and validate assumptions to provide a forecast that aligns to the organization's goals and strategies. + 8 years.

C. Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports.

D. Superior analytical and thinking skills; Intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability

E. Strong Interpersonal Skills in order to communicate with internal customers as well as Eaton Management.

F. Sound working knowledge of US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and local statutory requirements (MX GAAP).

G. Understanding of global business issues, including foreign currency impacts, effective hedging protocols and local customs and duty requirements.

H. Oracle manufacturing / financial knowledge is a must
