Within Micron’s Corporate Strategy organization, we have an immediate opening for a VP, Corporate Strategy. Our charter is to be an objective voice ensuring our strategy anticipates and responds to market trends and drives long term profitable growth. In this role, you will be an integral member of the Executive team reporting to the CVP, Strategy and Business Operations, chartered with driving the strategic analysis driving our investments and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Corporate Strategy organization successfully and effectively while driving Micron’s core values.

• Strategy Formulation – You will work with a cross functional team that encompasses the business units, engineering, technology development, operations and manufacturing to formulate a company-wide strategy. You will synthesize the company’s strategic objectives as well as industry trends to identify, recommend and execute on initiatives that can meet the company’s growth objectives. You will also identify and drive the process to address strategic questions facing the company.

• Portfolio Management – You will assess the profitability of our various businesses / segments and make recommendations to change our investment mix to optimize the company’s business objectives and strategy. You will also analyze our CAPEX and OPEX mix to optimize our portfolio mix and allocation of resources. You will also estimate market opportunities; identify competitor threats; recommend portfolio changes.

• Market Intelligence - You will drive an effective market assessment by leveraging your market intelligence team and a network of marketing experts throughout the company. You will assess the supply and demand dynamics across the industry and make recommendations that will drive investment decisions.

• Business Planning and execution - You will consolidate business plan quarterly and annual reviews, both internally and for the board of directors.

• You will work effectively with various level executives and cross-functional professionals, including engineering, product design, infrastructure IT, security and privacy systems, and finance and accounting.

• You will evaluate new market opportunities to drive cross-business corporate prioritization and provide insight into our business by deploying data and research (market, customer, competition).

• Using deep understanding of our industry and our competitors, you will drive initiatives that improve our competitive positioning and increase our profit share of the industry.

• To monitor performance of our investments, you will develop and communicate critical metrics.

• You will provide analysis of Micron’s products, businesses, markets and competition to the executive staff and key stakeholders within the company.

• Analyze data to explain historical or forecasted trends and recommend action.

• Create action plans to respond proactively to the competitive environment.

• Drive the execution of these plans throughout the organization at all levels.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors’ Degree required, preferably in Engineering. MBA is a plus.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a senior strategy leader in a global company.

• Deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry, experience in key end markets that Micron serves will also be a plus.

• Experience with financial modeling and strategic analysis.

• Executive level presentation and communication experience; Good executive presence.

• Inspirational leader with strong collaboration skills and proven ability to work cross functionally with diverse business unit leaders.

• Successful track record of timely execution, impeccable organizational abilities, validated business insight and commercial experience.

• Effective communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing; comfortable in business and technical discussions as well as senior executive audiences.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$274,404.00 - $332,938.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
