Robert Half Sr. Accountant in San Jose, California

Description We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team in San Jose, California. This role primarily involves overseeing financial processes, managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance. As a Senior Accountant, you will be instrumental in ensuring our company's financial operations are accurate, efficient, and in compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

• Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, and provide variance analysis.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

• Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve financial performance.

• Coordinate and assist with external audits, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Collaborate with tax advisors to prepare and file tax returns, and ensure adherence to tax regulations.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, streamline accounting procedures, and implement best practices.

• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage working capital efficiently.

• Utilize financial software and tools effectively, maintain data integrity, and recommend system enhancements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, operations, and management to achieve organizational goals. Requirements • Must possess at least 5 years of experience as an Accountant

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations is required

• Should have a solid understanding of General Ledger management

• Experience with Journal Entries is a must

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Prior experience with Month End Close processes is required

• Should have working knowledge of Oracle

• Experience with Oracle R12 E-Business Suite (EBS) is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required

• Professional certification, such as CPA, is preferred

• Familiarity with accounting software and databases is a plus

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Strong ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
