Accountabilities:

* Write advanced complex code for computer systems and serve as a senior source of expertise.

* Perform code reviews to ensure enterprise and architectural standards and processes are followed.

* Experience working in an Agile environment such as scrum. Participate in stand-ups, retrospectives, planning and other required meetings.

* Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure accurate and quality business solutions.

* Participate in the development and evolution of architecture.

* Provide design input across a product.

* Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

* Serve as a primary technical point of contact for external technology resources.

* Act as a technology mentor to other engineers. · All other duties as assigned.

Day-to-Day:

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Portal team. This team is committed to providing best-in-class fraud, identity, and authentication services to help digital businesses better distinguish trusted customers from potential fraudsters in real time, without adding unnecessary friction. The team is responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting a robust web application used by fraud managers, analysts and security teams to configure, manage and review their ThreatMetrix implementation. We develop and maintain RESTful API (microservices) with endpoints handling complex business logics. Team develops web interface components using React framework, deployed on Kubernetes infrastructure. Team is present in two locations, San Jose, California and Sydney, Australia. We have more than 30 members in the team. The ideal candidate will be excellent in backend development using Java Spring frameworks. Work as an independent contributor, gathering requirements, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

* 5+ years of Software Engineering experience with backend development using Java Spring framework

o Strong backend expertise building scalable, secure, and high performing applications.

o Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture

* RESTful API and microservices development

o Able to explain API classes in collections of Java and how they work

o Worked on multithreaded programs

* React library

* BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

* Experience in agile development methodology.

* Strong development experience in languages including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, Go, python, HTML, CSS3, TypeScript etc.

* Familiar with SQL or NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Couchbase.

* Strong command on object-oriented design, design patterns.

* Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

* Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

* Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.

* Ability to design and work with complex data models.

* Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).

* Strong commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing Plusses:

* Certifications

* Proficiency in front-end technologies like React is a bonus.

* Experience with containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes (Optional)

* Experience designing and building applications using Azure cloud tools (Optional) null
