Are you seeking an opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology? We are seeking a Principal Customer Validation Engineer to join our team in San Jose, CA! We are very multi-functional and work alongside a myriad of teams that support our CXL product! CXL is a newer product that is predicted to be up to 25% of the total DRAM market.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to in this role.

  • You will work closely with Micron CXL Solutions Group worldwide, Micron Field Application Engineering Team, Micron CXL Business Unit, and APAC Customers/Partners in an agile environment. Highly in-sync with CXL-US Customer Support Validation team.

  • We are responsible for Micron Taiwan customers/partners engagement and collaboration, including customer site visit and support. Establish professional working relationships with customers/partners and FAEs.

  • We are encouraged to develop and/or understand customer test plans, define test methodologies, provide recommendations and solutions to customers, efficient in documentation and test reports, and may write test scripts to ensure accurate operation of our CXL products under customer platform and environment.

  • You will need to reproduce, analyze, and triage customer issues in customer environment and reference platforms in Micron CXL Lab.

  • Build demo platforms (hardware and tools) to showcase Micron CXL products to customers and tradeshows.

  • Support EVT (Engineering Verification Team) tasks during customer activities slow down time.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors in EE/CE/EE&CS/EE&CE with 15+ Years of Experience or a Masters with 10+ Years of Experience.

  • Solid knowledge and experience in PCI Express domain and specification.

  • Deep understanding of system level topologies, performance metrics and OS kernels.

  • Experience working on customer test plan and test environment.

  • Ability to perform early 1st level FA and debug onsite customer issues.

  • Experience in reproducing and analyze customer defects using industry standard tools.

  • Familiar with ASIC/Backend Media product life cycle. (Development, Validation, Support)

  • Experience in one scripting language. (Python preferred)

  • Strive in agile environment and distributed team structure, have a product quality demeanor.

  • This position will require up to 25% domestic/international travel.

  • Excellent communication skills in Mandarin (preferred) and working proficiency in English.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge in CXL domain in terms of specification and ecosystem.

  • Experience in DRAM topology and validation.

  • Experience in compliance event participation. (PCISIG, CXL Plug-fest)

  • Experience in Protocol trace analysis.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$173,000.00 - $347,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
