What’s Encouraged Daily

  • PCIe Validation Lead working in PCIe Lab

  • Work with SSD product team, Firmware team and PCIe Characterization/Validation teams for PCIe Link bring-up, debug any PCIe issue, optimization.

  • Work with PCIe PHY IP vendor to provide the optimal setting to meet all system requirements.

  • Work with RTL Design, Verification, package, SI/PI teams for ASIC tape out.

  • Work with ASIC SoC team investigating 3rd party PCIe PHY IP Gen5 and Gen6, providing professional opinion in IP decision, managing IP vendor, and debugging issues.

  • Regularly update the issue debug progress to Executive and cross functional teams.

How to Qualify

  • Bachelors or Master – Electrical Engineering with PCIe/Serdes PHY circuit design and Serdes PHY circuit/system level debug background

  • 7+ year experience working in PCIe/Serdes PHY field

  • Good understanding in-depth knowledge of PCIe PHY and sub-circuits such as PLL, Tx/Rx equalization techniques like CTLE, DFE, FFE, CDR

  • Good understanding of PCIe Gen1Gen6 electrical spec and protocol spec

  • Good understanding various PCIe PHY, Link, Transport layer architectures

  • Hands-on experience in lab testing of PCIe high-speed link, Jitter tolerance, TX compliance.

  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in understanding protocol analyzer trace using Lecroy or Viavi analyzer

  • Hands-on experience in analyzing and debugging various PCIe link and protocol issues

  • Good understanding PCIe SIG compliance electrical and protocol testing

  • Good to run simulation to debug and understand PCIe PHY and upper layer behavior

  • Good communication, analytical and teamwork skill

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$215,000.00 - $376,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
