Teradyne Hardware Test Engineer in San Jose, California

This is a hybrid position (90% onsite) JOB DESCRIPTION Teradyne is seeking an experienced Pilot Line Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in the New Products Introduction department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-speed digital ATE technologies. As a subject matter expert, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our projects by driving issues, influencing outcomes, mentoring junior staff, and providing insights throughout the development lifecycle. JOB DUTIES

  • Participate in all phases of the design cycle providing feedback enabling long term manufacturing processes.

  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with Project Deliverables, offering proactive solutions to enhance project success.

  • Execute and continuously improve processes to achieve product and process stability.

  • Work collaboratively with all engineering disciplines to ensure successful project launch of high yielding and reliable ATE instrumentation.

  • Provide data and evidence to assess the stability of hardware, software, and processes, facilitating effective decision-making.

  • Document test process and train users.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field,

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Ability to analyze and present data efficiently.

  • Deep understanding of ATE or measurement system fundamentals.

  • Knowledge of design and reliability processes

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex ATE or measurement systems to component level.

  • Excellent communication skills, in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to multitask across multiple projects in various stages of release.

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Ability to influence and drive issues to resolution.

  • Working knowledge of Scripting (Perl, Python, etc.) Visual Basic / C# .NET is a plus.
