DoorDash Senior Design Manager, Consumer Products, DashPass & Affordability in San Francisco, California

About the Team

At DoorDash, our customers are at the center of our product strategy and we believe that an amazing customer experience is the key to our success. The Consumer team designs the mobile apps and website that millions of customers use every day to order meals and more from their favorite local merchants.

This role sits within the Consumer app spanning two teams – DashPass and Affordability. The DashPass group is building the most rewarding membership program for local commerce offering unparalleled savings, best in class service and exclusive access to your neighborhood. You’ll be responsible for thinking through the experience for the entire lifecycle of a member.

On the Affordability team, you will be leading our efforts to make DoorDash more affordable for every DoorDash customer. This team goes broad and explores 0-1 ideas while also getting to the lowest level of detail to build experiences that will ultimately reduce the cost of using our services and build lasting habits for our occasional customers.

About the Role

As Sr. Manager of DashPass & Affordability, you’ll be responsible for managing a group of designers and defining the design strategy.

  • Product Leadership – You'll work with your peers in Product Management, Engineering, Operations, User Research, and more to define a shared vision and roadmap.

  • Team Mentorship – You'll coach the designers on your team, providing both project feedback and career guidance, and create opportunities for your team members to thrive.

  • Hiring – DoorDash is growing rapidly. You'll partner with our recruiting team to find, attract, interview, and hire new designers for your team.

You will report to the Head of Consumer Engagement Product Design in our Product Design organization. This role is a hybrid role with some time in-office and some time remote. We are looking for someone located near one of our tech hubs (SF Bay Area, Seattle, or New York).

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Contribute directly to DoorDash's consumer product strategy and define the future of our service.

  • Explore complex, ambiguous problem spaces, working with your team to understand the opportunity and then chart a path forward.

  • Recruit and mentor an outstanding team of designers and help them grow.

  • Influence the team's approach to product development, shaping both the organization and our processes.

  • Improve the lives of millions of DoorDash customers every day.

    We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 4+ years of experience managing successful product design teams.

  • You're an advocate for product quality and user-centric product development.

  • You engage your teammates and proactively initiate new programs.

  • You're comfortable working within complex product ecosystems.

  • You're enthusiastic about collaboration and team-building.
