Job Title: Legal Assistant

Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid)

About Us:

Our client is a dynamic and growing law firm in San Francisco, committed to providing exceptional legal services to their clients. They are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized Legal Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct word processing, filing, and faxing in accordance with established standards.

• Ensure copied documents meet original standards and quality.

• Retrieve electronic documents from various court and agency websites.

• Electronically categorize and manage files using computer databases.

• Log and retrieve information from the database as needed.

• Prepare documents for photocopying/scanning.

• Draft correspondence and memoranda.

• Conduct legal research and investigative tasks as directed.

• Obtain information or documents from external parties.

• Assist lawyers and paralegals in document assembly and data collection.

• Direct matter management and maintain accurate records.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Proficient in computer applications and technical knowledge.

• Previous legal experience preferred; three to five years in a law firm or corporate legal department is advantageous.

• Ability to supervise and coordinate tasks with other legal staff.

• Familiarity with court and agency websites for document retrieval.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

• Ideally family law or civil litigation.
