Our client is a prominent real estate investment and development firm.

Controller

San Francisco; Hybrid

Base + Bonus Potential Carry

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the accounting of various investment funds, investments, management company, and family office

• Report to the Head of Finance and Accounting, ensuring precise financial recording and reporting

• Execute fund accounting, consolidations, and investment accounting

• Develop supporting schedules and reconciliations for financial statements

• Compile year-end GAAP financial statements and footnotes

• Forecast projects and analyze cashflows

• Support investor communications and reporting

• Compile budget and IRR reporting for projects

• Manage joint venture contributions and distributions

• Oversee monthly intercompany reconciliations and settlements

• Facilitate lender draws for construction projects and cost breakdown

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Public Accounting and 3+ years of fund accounting experience

• Bachelor’s degree

• CPA is a plus

• Solid understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 323, 805, 820, and 946.

• Experience with Yardi and QuickBooks Online

• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel, and familiar with Adobe Acrobat software.

• Experience in tax and/or payroll is preferred.

• Familiarity with offshore accounting processes is a plus.

• Experience in managing accounting staff.

• Excel under pressure and in fast-paced environments.

• You demonstrate strong lateral and critical thinking skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
