The role can be based in either our New York, San Francisco, or Chicago offices.

LinkedIn is searching for a Central Strategic Initiatives Manage r to assist with various new and existing programs managed by the Global Strategy & Operations Strategic Planning & Initiatives team. Candidates must be nimble team players who are comfortable managing multiple cross-functional relationships and activities concurrently. Additionally, candidates should have experience in program management and process innovation best practices.

The Central Strategic Initiatives Manager – Global Strategy & Operations will leverage their strengths, superior communication, relationship building skills, and analytical abilities to provide timely solutions to partners, and successful program execution / leadership. Successful candidates in this role will manage multiple processes, seek to enhance these processes, and develop strong collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage global, complex work-streams in programs with multiple stakeholders

  • Define success metrics of program and measure results

  • Project/program management (managing timelines, tracking and communicating progress, setting expectations with stakeholders, issue resolution)

  • Be an effective agent of change by developing a change management framework on what we communicate, how we train teams and support talent changes

  • Identify and appropriately escalate risks which could jeopardize the successful rollout and recommend options for resolution

  • Provide a regular cadence of updates to the leadership team on progress and plan to mitigate risk

  • Develop mitigations and solutions with various stakeholders to ensure successful program outcomes

  • Leverage program management framework to drive consistent, best-in-class program management

  • Create strong collaborative partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Think like an owner and have an impact outside of your core functions by demonstrating leadership, providing leverage and producing results that will help effectively scale

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in business, operations, analytics, economics, or related field 

  • 6+ years of experience in program / project management / management consulting

  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision

  • Communication, organizational, presentation and client-service skills

  • Experience working with Salesforce, Tableau, MS Power Point, MS Excel

  • PMP or Six-Sigma Certified

  • Ability to present data in an effective, actionable manner and learn new software quickly

  • Ability to think strategically with a proven track record of providing consultative and data driven solutions

  • Demonstrated analytical background and experience with statistical analysis, return on investment modeling

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • People management experience

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The pay range for this role is $119,000 to $193,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
