EXOS Assistant General Manager in San Francisco, California

Job Summary:

The Assistant General Manager will work in a senior leadership role under the supervision of the General Manager to insure successful execution of all aspects of the fitness business and associated programs.

Responsibilities:

We're seeking an Assistant General Manager to join our team! As our new Assistant General Manager you will:

  • Develop, coordinate, manage and maintain the day to day operations of all programs

  • Work collaboratively with internal Finance, Member Services/CRM, Innovation and Management teams to enhance the program, develop strategy and support execution of these initiatives

  • Play a leadership role in generation of new sales, and

  • Prioritize the retention of existing members

  • Oversee Reception team and processes, retail, and all department reporting

  • Support General Manager

  • Participate in meetings with the client, review of metrics and financial reporting, collaborate on strategic initiatives, communications and decision makings within the program

  • Develop performance and operational metrics and deliver reporting reviews along with internal and client teams

  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge on all our internal products and programs, and being able to implement updates into the program

  • Maintain a relationship with the client, and their operations team, participate and organize meetings, communicate daily/weekly with the client team and maintain facility calendar

  • Assist in the management and implementation of internal and external membership software systems and vendors

  • Develop and manage appropriate program budgets, staffing allocation and execution of services within defined strategic initiatives

  • Proactive identification of problems, inefficiencies and subsequent solution planning with client and Leadership Team

  • Desire to be successful and work as part of a team

  • Oversee Manager on Duty program and scheduling

  • Other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health and Wellness, or related field

  • A minimum of two years of experience in health and wellness, club management or program management experience

  • Experience with accountability-driven sales management

  • Strong business and leadership acumen

  • Proficiency in program development, implementation and ongoing management

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with innovation, collaboration and initiative

  • Detail focused, able to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks

  • Limited travel (5-10%) required

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn internal software systems

  • Excellent organizational, communication and time-management skills

    Residents of California, Colorado, New York, and Washington: Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $60,000/year to $80,000/year. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs. Exos offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full time employees (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
