ADP is hiring a Senior Software Engineer of Data Science.

In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring, cleansing, and analyzing large data sets and do exploratory analysis to understand our complex data structures and relationships. You'll work with multiple stakeholders to identify, design, develop and implement advanced analytics projects and you'll provide, interpret, and predict necessary metrics for decision-making. You'll code with machine learning tools like Python, R, and Scala to synthesize data sets into patterns that answer ad hoc requests and use Tableau for data visualization.

No two days are the same. You will work alongside a team of passionate, creative developers to design and develop analytical and machine learning models and conduct data mining. You will also use data to help drive business decisions and improve operational processes.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be an expert in data technologies with SQL, Python and strong background in data science, generating machine learning models, and data analytics. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Senior Software Engineer Data Analytics and Testing at ADP.

Data Science

• Analyze data patterns between disparate complex data sources and structures.

• Apply appropriate statistical models and techniques for regression analysis, forecasting, predictions, probability analytics etc. using Python.

• Expertise in machine learning and feature engineering

• Create and present analysis to individuals in business language to drive business decisions.

• Design and develop data extractions and transformations using ETL tools in order to do data research.

• Create a code repository for models.

• Collaborate with business team to design, develop, test and refine deliverables.

Data Analytics

• Design and develop analytical data models and KPIs to support analytics, research, dashboards, data mining, trending etc.

• Deliver content via portals, data visualization (Tableau/Power BI) etc.

• Design data trending charts using complex datasets.

• Research and determine links between disparate data sets.

• Develop complex queries against Mainframe, Oracle, DB2 etc.

Problem Solving

• Comfortable working with complex data scenarios with tech that has never been used before. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution.

• Expert problem-solving skills required to interpret complex information and present the best way to move forward.

• Technical and Business acumen to participate in the analysis, design, testing and implementation of new and existing business process.

• Innovation with ability to “think outside the box” is important.

Communication & Teamwork

• Communication skills with ability to clearly explain complex issues and drive consensus.

• Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team, as well as independently.

Learning

• You’re always learning and operating with a "figure it out" mentality.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

• You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• Preferred: Education area of concentration in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Math.

• 5 - 7 years of directly related experience in working with complex data science models and analytics

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, Python, R etc.

• Knowledge of advanced scripts/procedures/statements using DML and DDL (SQL statements) against databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.

• Other skills: AWS, DataBricks, Snowflake

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $60,500.00 - $162,000.00 / Year
