Job Description

The Group Housing Coordinator is responsible for understanding the basic procedures of room reservations at Omni San Diego Hotel. This individual is responsible for maintaining group room blocks, and cut-off dates. The Coordinator will conduct presentations regarding group room pick-up, as well as, handle concerns with rooming lists and cut-off dates. The Group Housing Coordinator will voice group block concerns at the daily sales “stand up” meeting and communicate with the Complex Director of Revenue and Revenue Manager about groups exceeding their blocks.

Responsibilities

  • Make, change, and cancel reservations with speed and accuracy

  • File Reservations and back-up.

  • Post advanced deposits.

  • Process confirmations.

  • Process and build group blocks.

  • Manage 3rd party reservations

  • Ensure that the group process is upheld.

  • Ensure that group blocks, group lists, group billing, and cut off dates are maintained.

  • Attend group pre-convention meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.

  • Must have strong communication, analytical, computer and organizational skills.

  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.

  • Front Office hotel experience required.

  • Prior hotel experience required.

  • High School Degree or equivalent.

  • Pay: $24.40 per hour. The pay scale provided is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts reasonably expects to pay. Actual compensation offered may fluctuate based on a candidate’s qualifications and/or experience.
