Job Summary and Qualifications

The Accountant III is responsible for assigned month-end close journal entries, reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts, and analysis of financial results in a multi-facility environment. Must comply with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and other regulations.

What you will do in this role:

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts, to include documentation to support all balances. Maintain balance sheet standards per department guidelines.

  • Prepare journal entries required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period, for assigned entities; and provide appropriate supporting documentation per department guidelines.

  • Analyze general ledger accounts and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting standards and APG’s.

  • Maintain multiple general ledgers within scope of responsibility.

  • Respond to requests for information from corporate accounting, internal and external auditors, and other internal management.

  • Maintain ongoing documentation related to corporate tax packages, and escheat filings.

  • Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.

  • Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of department accounting standards and processes.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Or related field from accredited college or university.

  • 2 years of progressive work experience in accounting and general financial operations.
