The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to function in a Safety Administration and Engineering role in San Antonio, TX .

This position will be supporting maintenance repair and overall work performed at a Boeing Global Services (BGS) facility and will involve limited travel.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes within an industrial aerospace setting

  • Performs inspections and audits using protocols derived from State and Federal regulations as well as internal company requirements

  • Provides direct health and safety support to one of the multiple airplane programs onsite

  • Develops and provides training and instruction to aerospace employees

  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Develops corrective action plan in response to internal/external audits and inspections

  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits/inspections

  • Performs program management for assigned areas of responsibilities

  • Interfaces directly with hourly employees, Operations Managers, and other personnel to support factory operations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options .

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only (Yankee White Clearance).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  • Travel 10% of the time required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years industrial experience

  • Safety related degree (technical degree)

  • Experience speaking in front of others and giving presentations

  • Experience codifying regulatory requirements into written procedures or desk instructions

  • Experience working across multiple programs and locations

  • Experience with aircraft operations

  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $110,500 – $149,500
