Job Summary:

The Hospice Clinical Supervisor will play a pivotal role in leading our San Antonio hospice startup operation. The Clinical Supervisor will lead and oversee the clinical operations of our organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance clinical services. The right candidate will be comfortable providing direct clinical care as the agency navigates the state and CHAP process; while continuing to build an IDG team in anticipation of rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership:

  • Provide clinical care through the state and CHAP process

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for all clinical services within the organization.

  • Collaborate with medical professionals and department heads to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.

  • Implement evidence-based practices to enhance the quality and safety of clinical services.

  • Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor clinical staff members, including nurses, physicians, and support staff.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional development and growth.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

  • Quality Improvement:

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

  • Monitor and evaluate clinical processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.

  • Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans related to clinical services.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to inform decision-making.

  • Resource Management:

  • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the clinical services budget.

    Qualifications:

  • Hospice experience required.

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in required.

  • 3+ years experience in similar role with proven success of leading others in a clinical setting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a clinical setting is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, foster innovation, and achieve results.

  • CHAP experience is a plus.

  • Startup experience is a plus.

    The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Texas typically falls between $110,000-$125,000 annually with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
