The Opportunity

As a dedicated Business Applications Analyst Senior , you will be working in the Disbursement Operations team in USAA’s Chief Financial Office and report to the Director, Financial Operations. They will provide their expertise and knowledge of Oracle ERP Financials system including the Procurement, Accounts Payable, & General Ledger modules. They will serve as the business liaison between Accounts Payable and technical teams to drive solutions and research root cause of system issues in Oracle ERP Financials related to the Procure to Pay processes and Accounts Payable corporate payments processes. The candidate will also participate in Enterprise projects related to Accounts Payable processes, provide business requirements, and assist with project implementations.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: Charlotte, NC or San Antonio, TX.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

• Advises and provides analytical support and recommendations to stakeholders making decisions related to business and application/IT platform direction and modifications, taking into account current and future business needs and opportunities.

• Maintains advanced understanding of business processes, applications/IT platform and strategic direction and advises customers on and facilitates the identification, research, and analysis of application/IT platform and technology solutions.

• Collaborates and exchanges information with team members, stakeholders, and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities are identified and addressed.

• Researches complex business issues requiring advanced knowledge of business principles and theories.

• Responsible for analyzing and participates in documenting business requirements for application/IT platform and data systems and directing the testing and implementation of new systems or changes to current system as required to meet contractual needs and improve processes.

• Leads and participates in the design and administration of standards and policies regarding application/IT platform and end user customer documentation.

• Provides input and participates in establishing system documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies for systems and applications/IT platform.

• Provides work direction and coaching to team members and may provide input on performance and development plans.

• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

• Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.

• 6 years of work experience in analyzing IT business processes, software application/IT platform design and/or IT documentation, with an understanding of application/IT platform data systems and operations processes.

• Demonstrated understanding of application/IT platform administration and the software development life cycle, to include testing execution.

• Experience in developing and maintaining documentation related to workflow and business requirements, as well as technical functionality of IT applications/IT platform.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

• Knowledge of risk & controls with experience identifying and fixing gaps, documenting controls and testing of those controls.

• Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required.

What sets you apart:

• 15 years or more experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials to include the Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, & Fixed Assets modules and functionality.

• 6 years or more supporting system workflow approval rules, approval group configurations using BPM Worklist, Payables to Ledger reconciliation, configuring supplier portal, and resolving BIP and OTBI report issues related to Accounts Payable processes in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.

• 6 years or more experience monitoring and troubleshooting issues related to Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials system and opening Service Requests (SRs) directly with Oracle to identify root cause of issues and resolution.

• 6 years or more experience handling integration issues between the Procurement and Accounts Payable modules in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.

• 6 years or more experience in project testing and implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.

• Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist in Oracle Financials Cloud Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $89,990 - $172,000.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
