This position is on campus full time, conducting many in-person, hands-on training sessions primarily focused on our 300+ custodial team members. This position coordinates our onboarding program and develops and conducts new training materials, courses, and programs.

Responsibilities

  1. Conducts training of institutional systems and related processes.

  2. Assists in the creation or updating of training materials.

  3. Identifies and assesses employee skill level and training needs.

  4. Monitors the effectiveness of training programs and provides meaningful feedback

to curriculum developers and managers.

  1. Maintains department statistics and other training data; creates training reports as

needed.

  1. Trains on customer service and proper presence with campus community.

  2. Trains on restroom, hard floor and equipment cleaning and routine maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years experience in a training or customer support capacity or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated computer, organization, human relation and effective verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to manage time and work independently.

  1. Background experience with new employee orientation

  2. Familiarity with and understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.

  3. Experience with training development

  4. Experience with authoring software (ex: captivate, articulate)

  5. Construction/Mechanical knowledge

  6. A basic understanding of chemicals and cleaning equipment is preferred.

  7. A valid Utah Driver’s license may be required.
