We are a premier staffing agency working in partnership with a leading financial services firm to recruit talented individuals for their Global Banking - Operations team in Salt Lake City. Our client is a global powerhouse in delivering banking and investment services to clients worldwide.

About the role:

Our client is seeking a dedicated Entry Level Financial Analyst to join their team in Salt Lake City. This position offers an excellent opportunity to be involved in developing and managing processes and controls that support the flow of business operations across a global platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the risk of multiple functions throughout the trade lifecycle, including oversight of regulatory obligations, payment controls, and exception workflows (e.g., ledger reconciliations).

  • Provide thought leadership to implement and expand the Global Markets Control strategy.

  • Collaborate with Technology to design, build, and operate effective controls within an STP environment.

  • Guide and develop team members, promoting team success and cultivating leadership.

  • Develop capabilities to identify risks through quantitative and qualitative data correlation.

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and participate in industry forums.

  • Drive reengineering programs to enhance global efficiencies.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams (trading desks, operations, technology, legal, compliance) and external parties (prime brokers, clearing agents, regulators).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Collaborative, flexible, and team-oriented with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Prior experience in Operations or a related field (preferred).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.

  • Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and the ability to quickly learn multiple programs.

  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills.

  • Balance of tactical and strategic thinking.

  • Project management skills.

  • Experience with change management or process improvement (a plus).

  • Experience with ledger or other securities reconciliations (a plus).
