UNIVERSITY OF UTAH Database Ananlyst Sr. (PERM) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah
University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah seeks for a full-time Database Ananlyst Sr. The Database Analyst Sr. in the Division of Epidemiology will develop and improve existing programming extension (T-SQL) and create SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages; implement various database structures based on end-user feedback; develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server tables, functions, stored procedures, and other database objects and design and develop data ETL processes; Involved in requirements gathering, technical design, development by using agile or other software methodologies as needed on specific assignment; Write complex SQL codes, store procedures, views, DDL, DML, user defined functions to implement the business logic; Use Execution Plan, SQL Profiler and Database Engine Tuning Advisor to optimize queries and enhance the performance of databases; serve as a technical expert in meetings to help develop custom IT solutions, and perform peer code reviews. Requires at least a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field. Requires 24 months employment experience as an Analyst or related position, including 24 months experience with the following: data analysis, data visualization and quality assurance and quality control techniques; working with health system data; building database objects in SQL Server using T-SQL; writing complex SQL Codes; writing SAS, Python or other relevant programs to execute analytics reports; and data submission to Federal or State agencies.
