The Department of Environmental Quality is looking to fill an Administrative Services Manager position in the Division of Water Quality.

Principal Duties

  • Prepare and monitor Division s annual budget  
  • Prepare financial reports including forecasts and/or variance reports  
  • Review and approve financial documents including deposits,travel requests,grant applications,and contracts
  • Analyze and summarize financial data,report findings,interpret results,and/or make recommendations    
  • Coordinate support services for the Division    

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience using Excel for financial analysis
  • Ability to comprehend,apply and explain rules,policies,and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Works independently and is able to use sound judgment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with employees,representatives of other agencies,and the public
  • Provide exceptional customer service

     Preferences Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

  • B.S. in Accounting,Finance,Business or other related field;

  • OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and paid professional employment directly related to the above tasks.

     Work Location This position may be eligible for an in-office,remote or hybrid/flexible work schedule after an initial period or several weeks of in-office training. Our office is located 195 North 1950 West,Salt Lake City,Utah. A position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion at any time and for any reason. Note: As of July 1,2021,State of Utah Employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to within 30 days of their start date.
