CMU MEDICAL EDUCATION PARTNERS Pediatric Associate Program Director in SAGINAW, Michigan

Overview:

Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine and CMU Health -- an academic medical institution in Saginaw, MI -- is looking for full-time Pediatric Associate Program Director, BC/BE Pediatrics to join our Faculty team.  This role includes resident and medical student education, as well as faculty clinic. 

CMU Health's nine clinics are located in the Great Lakes Bay Region -- admired for its lakes and rivers, lush foliage and centralized location.

Responsibilities:

Position Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed individual who is inspired to build a strong Pediatric Residency program.  50% Clinical / 50% Academic with protected time. Administrative duties as well as scholarly activities will be required including Research and Publishing. 

The Program Director will spend much of his/her clinical time precepting residents in their combined ambulatory Pediatric Clinic/Hospital based on Covenant Healthcare campus. The Program Director will also engage members of our community-based Pediatric Primary Care/Pediatric Specialist physicians to participate as didactic presenters and preceptors.  Finally, the Program Director will be provided a faculty appointment from Central Michigan University School of Medicine and will lead the effort to attract medical student candidates from CMU.

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • State of Michigan licensed or eligible
  • Board-certified in Pediatrics
  • Three years of teaching experience (required)
  • Leadership experience (preferred)
  • Controlled Substance license
  • Must meet credentialing criteria
