Description We are offering a role for a Patient Registration professional in the healthcare industry, specifically located in Sacramento, California. The role will be based within a healthcare facility and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The primary responsibilities of this role involve managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, answering billing queries, and maintaining patient medical records for a clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Register and pre-register patients in a healthcare facility

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations

• Maintain and verify all patient demographics

• Explain hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities, and patient rights to patients

• Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients

• Provide excellent customer service in all interactions

• Manage patient medical records and ensure their accuracy and confidentiality

• Schedule appointments for patients and manage any changes or cancellations

• Resolve any patient inquiries regarding billing and insurance

• Perform a variety of secretarial support duties to ensure the proper functioning of the clinic. Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of patient registration processes within a healthcare setting

• Proficiency in utilizing patient access systems and tools

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and discretion

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Proven problem-solving skills to handle patient queries and concerns effectively

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple patient registrations simultaneously

• Experience in healthcare or NHS setting is desirable

• Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and standards

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear and efficient information exchange

• Must have a customer-oriented approach and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently when required

• High level of professionalism and adherence to workplace ethics

• Must be detail-oriented to ensure accurate patient records and registrations.
