The Manager of Training and Organizational Development will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within Heritage Family Credit Union. This position will oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs that enhance employee skills, support career development, and align with the credit unions strategic goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the design and implementation of comprehensive training programs that address the needs of employees at all levels, including onboarding, compliance, leadership development, and skills enhancement.
  • Utilize best practices in instructional design to create engaging and effective learning experiences, including e-learning modules, workshops, and training materials tailored to diverse learning styles and in-person and remote working arrangements.
  • Assist with coordinating, preparing, and conducting new employee onboarding and training programs to staff at all levels of the organization, both in person and via virtual platforms.Delivers new employee, sales and service technique, and product and service training.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs and gaps within the organization. Collaborate with department heads to tailor programs that meet specific team and organizational objectives.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Gather feedback and analyze data to continuously improve training offerings and organizational development initiatives.
  • Lead training sessions and workshops, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage participants and enhance learning experiences. Considers a wide variety of learning mediums and approaches appropriate for learners to ensure a productive and successful means of training.
  • Oversee the training team, ensure employee engagement & professional development goals are met. Manage the training department\'s resources responsibly for training; supports the CHRO by monitoring and developing training department budget.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in learning and organizational development to continuously enhance our training offerings.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Responsible for predictable & reliable attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a High School education required. Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field required.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years professional experience as Learning and Development Manager or in a similar role required. Prior professional experience in human resources and banking preferred.

Skills:

  • Dynamic communicator who builds partnerships across the organization. Culturally competent, emotionally intelligent, and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in designing and delivering both traditional and digital learning solutions, including e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive decision-making and measure training effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement creative solutions.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and experience with Micr soft 365 required.Experience with financial institution software systems preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing for long periods of time while working in branch on the teller line, or training, but also sitting for long periods of time when working in-office at a workstation or desk in an open office environment.Daily tasks include extensive use of a computer performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeated motion, as well as use of the phone. Stretching breaks are recommended to avoid injury.
