Your Role
Key components of this internship will be logistics management and transportation coordination. You will gain exposure to equipment management, cost control, transportation coordination, deployment, and planning. You may also be involved in areas such as customer service, operations planning, freight bills, tariff/rate quotations, rate management, and accounting. You will be involved in multiple enabling activities to this end; load quality improvement, KPI development, dedicated carrier scorecards, project management, user training development, and process improvement activities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Practical experience on relevant projects while working with designated mentors
In-house training
Partner with mentors on strategic projects to innovate and support growth of logistics capabilities for RPM
Drive cost and service improvement initiatives through optimization of RPM’s logistics network
Support key initiatives already in flight within logistics
Work on real accounts and provide support to our sales teams. No two days are alike.
Contribute to RPM by providing feedback on real situations.
Group activities – (both logistics and non-logistics related)
Preferred Qualifications
Must be a Sophomore, Junior or Senior working towards a bachelor’s degree
Team player
Highly motivated and focused
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Compensation and Benefits
This is a paid internship, paid hourly
