About the Position: Serve as a Regional and/or Crisis Planner and technical logistics expert for the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) and develops program policy, monitors operations, and manages the Management Decision Evaluation Package for the LOGCAP. Responsibilities Evaluate Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) operations consisting of different types of contracting capability to support deployed forces during contingency operations. Develop organizational information criteria to measure the effectiveness of Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) functions and capabilities. Provide technical and operational guidance on program status, problem areas, operations resources, and training requirements to improve programs. Review logistics readiness sustainment reports to resolve problem areas. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Identify logistics requirements to perform qualitative analysis; evaluating program execution to identify ways to support deployed forces during contingency operations; conducting analysis on logistics support problems to enable sustainment readiness; and utilizing automated logistics readiness reporting systems to improve logistics and contractor performance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes Information Organizational Performance Analysis Problem Solving Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a Career Field (17) - Material Maintenance Management position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 5 years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
