JOB SUMMARY: The WIC Nutritionist Assistant screens WIC applicants for program eligibility, Also inputs financial, categorical and residential data into statewide computer system. Assists Nutritionist with WIC certification and nutrition education appointments. Performs anthropometric measurements and hematology screening on WIC participants. Travel throughout five county areas required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED Experience with providing customer service and computer data entry Fluent in English and Spanish preferred Demonstration of excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Understanding of cultural sensitivity and demonstration to work with diverse groups Skillsets with working in a fast-paced clinic environment Open to working several evenings per month. Fulfill expectations of advancing professional knowledge and skillsets by attending relevant seminars and/or trainings. Exemplify a demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work and delivering services with a trauma-informed and equitable lens Valid NYS Driver License
