University of Rochester Project Assistant I in Rochester, New York

POSITION SUMMARY:

Project Assistant will work under the direction of CIRC staff to assist with the development, deployment, and operation of systems and services to support research.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work under the guidance of CIRC’s staff to assist with and/or actively lead activities pertaining to technical work to support research.

  • Learn and utilize CIRC based processes, tools, and research workflows.

  • Track lessons learned throughout the assignment to deliver documentation replicating the efforts to succeed in the research project.

  • Learn and demonstrate use of technical toolsets, collaboration tools and other research related software and systems software.

  • Work closely with the research team, establishing a goal plan with objectives to be completed by conclusion of assignment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Matriculated in an undergraduate studies program in IT, business administration, healthcare administration, engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 1+ year of work experience is preferred.

  • or an equivalent combination of education training and/or experience preferred.

  • No professional work experience is required.

  • Technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new technology preferred.

  • Ability to express complex concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing preferred.

  • Solution oriented with a positive attitude preferred.

  • Strong ability to prioritize. Strong attention to detail preferred.

  • Reliable and able to establish trust with your team preferred.

  • No professional certification required.

  • Must be able to travel to designated sites as assigned.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.50 - $21.45 Hourly

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
