Position Summary: Assists the Vice President and/or Director of Residential Supports and Services in providing day to day administrative supervision homes, apartments and other community based supports and services as assigned.. Responsible for the coordination of services and assuring records, services and supports are maintained in compliance with all Program, Agency standards and all applicable State and Federal regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assures maintenance of all individual case records and operational records for services and supports as assigned. Assures assigned homes/apartments and other supports and services as assigned are in compliance with Agency standards and all applicable State and Federal regulations, through assuring for the completion of Quarterly Management Audits including individual case record audits.

  • Assures for the formulation, implementation and review of evaluations, assessments and Individual Service Plans, i.e., Individual Protection and Oversight Plan (IPOP), and Staff Action Plans, to meet the social, physical, psychological, developmental and protective oversight needs of people supported in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.

  • Participates in the screening and interviewing of applicants for all leadership positions and makes recommendation to the Vice President and/or Director of Residential Services and Supports for employment and/or dismissal of employees.

  • Provides ongoing supervision, evaluation, training and coaching to leadership as assigned by completing required performance appraisals, conducting scheduled supervisory meetings and providing ongoing coaching and assistance.

  • Assures coordination of services between people's residential service or supports and their day, pre-vocational or vocational service or other service providers.

  • Develops in collaboration with team members and the Vice President and/or Director of Residential Services and Supports, policies and procedures and assures that all Program and Agency Policies and Procedures are carried out.

  • Oversee the coordination of people's admission, movements and discharge for the Residential Services and Support department.

  • Participates in the development of the annual budget for supports and services as assigned. Monitors expenditures in conjunction with the approved spending plan. Assures for maintenance of all equipment, supplies and assures for the inventory and purchasing of equipment and supplies.

  • Serves as a positive role model for support staff and individuals served. Interacts with others in a way which will assist support staff and individuals served in developing behaviors, skills and attitudes necessary for success. Maintains neat appearance, hygiene and grooming. Promotes positive, respectful interactions with support staff and individuals served.

  • Participates in ongoing program services, development activities as assigned.

  • Serves on Program/Agency Committees as requested.

  • May be requested, and if either by virtue of a valid LPN or RN license or successful completion of training and certification meets criteria to administer medications including tub feedings, to administer medications and or provide tube feedings.

  • Provides Administrative Coverage in the absence of the Vice President or Director of Residential Services and Supports.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a Bachelors Degree in a Human Service field and two (2) years supervisory experience in providing services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. May be required to meet Federal and/or State requirements as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP). An exceptional candidate with an Associates degree in a related field with four (4) years supervisory experience in leading a team in the provision of services and supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities may be considered. May also be required to meet LAI's Vehicle Operator Requirements. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
