Description If you're a PC Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues, Robert Half has a job opening for you. The short-term contract / temporary PC Technician will work in the Rochester, Michigan, area.

Major responsibilities

• Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

• Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

• Assist with functionality testing and end user support

• Document all daily data communication transactions, issues and solutions or installations

• Manage equipment inventory, collaborating on purchases as needed

• Install, troubleshoot and repair printers

• Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

• Take down, pack, transport and set up/install on site

• Own and execute technology implementation projects

• Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company quality standards

• Take down, box and ship equipment that is outdated

• Image and prepare new computers

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware Requirements - 1 - 3 years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

• CompTIA A+ certification mandatory

• Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Practical knowledge of Deployments

• Operating System experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Hardware

• General familiarity with configuration management

• Networking experience preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of Dell Technologies

• Deep understanding of Microsoft

• Expertise in EO/IR systems

• Deskside Support experience highly preferred

• Adeptness in Active Directory

• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

• An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued
