At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our Environmental Compliance & Quality Assurance (EC&QA) team is seeking a dynamic Quality Assurance Engineer with a background environmental regulatory compliance. Our mission is to maintain and improve CPCCo's environmental compliance performance at Hanford. The job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but not limited to the following: * Perform and report environmental compliance and conformance assessments. * Perform final asbestos inspections of footprint of demolished buildings. * Perform quality assurance reviews and approving environmental documents such as data quality objectives, sampling and analysis plans, remedial action work plans, etc. * Complete the Quality Assurance Engineer Qualification Card process. * Obtain and maintain Hanford auditor and Lead Auditor qualifications. * Obtain Lead Auditor qualification. * Obtain and AHERA Accredited Building Inspector qualification. * Develop and implement an annual schedule of EC&QA assessments while ensuring environmental compliance areas are assessed on a routine basis. * Provide routine status to management of audit performance and results. * Mentor CPCCo staff on assessment processes, including audit planning, performance, report preparation and issues management. * Represent EC&QA at Hanford Analytical Services Quality Assurance Document working group meetings. * Perform responsible manager duties within the assessment and issues management system * Maintain the CPCCo Environmental Quality Assurance Program Plan and EC&QA procedures. * Maintain familiarization with government/industry consensus quality assurance codes and standards. * Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe and ethical manner. Basic Qualifications * Career Level Grade 18: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 6 or more years of relevant experience. * Senior Level Grade 20: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience with 10 or more years of relevant experience. The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
