Description We are in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable Specialist in Reston, Virginia. The role will focus on the processing of invoices for multiple operating entities, maintaining the general ledger, and working with various software including Microsoft Excel and Deltek Costpoint. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handling between 200-400 invoices on a weekly basis.

• Managing full cycle accounts payable operations including heavy PO vouchers.

• Overseeing AP invoicing for four operating entities.

• Utilizing accounting skills to maintain the general ledger.

• Working with Microsoft Excel for data entry and account reconciliation.

• Using Deltek Costpoint for various accounting functions.

• Adapting to a flexible schedule with three days a week in office from 8:00a-4:00p.

• Processing checks as part of the accounts payable functions.

• Ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting functions.

• Addressing and resolving any issues or discrepancies in accounts payable. Requirements • Possess at least 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a related role.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

• Familiarity with accounting functions and principles.

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) processes.

• Knowledge of check processing methods.

• Strong data entry skills with an ability to spot numerical errors.

• Experience with Full Cycle processing.

• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint and Costpoint software.

• Proven ability in account reconciliation.

• Understanding of General Ledger operations.
