Job Description:

Knowledge Manager

GDIT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Knowledge Manager to support the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support (MTCCS) program. GDIT delivers individual sustainment through collective Mission Command training, Leadership Training / Development, Warfighter Functions (WFF) training, Delta Training, First Person Simulations (Gaming), and constructive simulations supported training. Establish /maintain training and exercise networks. Accomplish Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation security and risk management activities. HOW THE KNOWLEDGE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Knowledge Management: Implement and maintain a comprehensive knowledge management system to capture, organize, and disseminate critical information gained during exercises

  • Knowledge Capture and Documentation: Develop and implement strategies for capturing and documenting operational knowledge and lessons learned. Collaborate with subject matter experts to compile comprehensive knowledge repositories

  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with military personnel, subject matter experts, and partner organizations to ensure seamless integration of knowledge management practices into exercise planning

  • Ensure that knowledge management principles are integrated into the exercise planning and execution phases

  • Information Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of operational data to identify trends, best practices, and areas for improvement

  • Provide actionable insights to enhance decision-making processes

  • Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on lessons learned and feedback from operational activities

  • Training and Development: Provide training to exercise participants on knowledge capture methodologies and tools to enhance organizational learning

  • After-Action Review (AAR): Attend the AAR process, capturing lessons learned, and facilitating the incorporation of feedback into future exercises

  • Documentation: Create detailed reports and documentation to communicate exercise outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: BA/BS or combination of education and experience

  • Required Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience.

  • Required Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in operational planning, process optimization, and project management

  • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles and practices

  • Proficiency in utilizing knowledge management tools and platforms

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams

  • Desired Skills:

  • Should possess proven experience in knowledge management, a strong understanding of information architecture, taxonomy, and metadata principles, as well as familiarity with technology platforms used in knowledge management

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, ITSM, ServiceNow or related KM tools

  • Familiar with the KM Lifecycle and KM best practices

  • Security Clearance Level: Secret clearance required to start

  • Required Certification(s): Certification in ITIL, or Knowledge Management

  • Location : On Customer Site

  • US Citizenship : Required
