The purpose of thePharmacistis to prepare medication in accordance with prescriptions and provide consultation to ensure medications are taken safely and enhance patient wellness.

ThePharmacistserves patients, preparing and dispensing medications, giving pharmacological information to the patients and to the multidisciplinary team while monitoring patient drug therapies. Pharmacists provide consultation and answer patients questions to ensure medications are taken appropriately and enhance the patients wellness.

We are aFederally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The mission of all FQHCs is to provide excellent health care services to otherwise under-served populations. We accept most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and the uninsured. For the uninsured, we offer discounted services based on a sliding fee scale.

We are aNational Health Service Corp site, and our providers are eligible to apply toward a federal loan forgiveness program.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

*Due to real and potential conflicts of interest that exist when HOPES Behavioral Health providers render services to their coworkers, it is HOPES policy (Policy HR0005) that HOPES employees may not access HOPES Behavioral Health Services. For the same reason, current Behavioral Health patients/clients cannot be employed by HOPES. Accordingly, you hereby acknowledge and understand that if you are receiving services from a HOPES Behavioral Health provider at the time you are offered and accept employment with HOPES, you have the option of rescinding your acceptance of employment or finding a new behavioral health provider outside of HOPES before starting employment with HOPES.

  • Graduation from an accredited college with a PharmD Degree.
  • License in good standing in the State of Nevada.
  • Proven ability to maintain professional conduct, including appropriate boundaries required.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with all team members required.
  • Computer literate required.
  • Able to communicate and listen effectively required.
  • Valid BLS required prior to hire, per HRSA compliance.
  • Able to work pharmacy operation hours of Monday thru Thursday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday 8:00 to 5:00 pm.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
