Leidos Senior Contracts Representative in Remote, United States

Leidos currently has an opening for an experienced Senior Contracts Representative (SCR) to support the Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) Business Area of the Commercial & International Sector. Primary focus will be within the Global Products Division where we provide airport and critical infrastructure screening products to government and commercial customers globally. This is a great opportunity to support a growth business in an exciting industry while also working at a large company with an established Contracts function.

The SCR will report to the Contracts Director and lead the contracting process for SES’ intermediaries (i.e. distributors, re-sellers and sales representatives). This is an individual contributor role and candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team of contract professionals supporting proposals, a portfolio of contracts and data calls.

This position will be remote but may need to support international time zones. Candidates within the DMV area may need to travel to Leidos HQ in Reston, VA as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide the oversight and evaluation of proposals, manage contracts portfolio, recommend, and implement new solutions to achieve functional objectives, lead contract negotiations, problem solve multi-faceted and complex contractual/customer issues as they arise, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with Leidos policies, as well as develop and maintain excellent customer relationships.

Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited supervision. The candidate must have excellent soft skills for interaction with all levels and company areas, including program teams, finance, project control, business development, legal and export control team members. Prompt responsiveness and proactive engagement with internal and external customer requirements and deadlines is critical.

Basic Qualifications

-BA degree and 5-8 or more years of relevant experience; or Masters degree and 2-6 or more years of relevant experience, additional experience in Contract Administration may be considered in lieu of degree.

-Candidate must have in depth knowledge of all contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, and Cost Plus).

-Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.

-Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills; ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers; proven history of building a team environment and fostering communication with the business and Contracts leadership team.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities is critical.

  • Excellent contract review and negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions

  • Candidate should be well organized with keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

-Proven experience with international and commercial contracts and customers is preferred.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
