Citizens Finance Sr Manager - Mortgage FP&A in Remote, Texas

In the role of the Finance Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the business through sound fundamental practices. You will be responsible for influencing all areas of Mortgage financial and management reporting, planning and analysis. In this role, you’ll experience new things, create new opportunities, think beyond your role and make an impact. To support your team, you will develop talent, drive strategic business initiatives, and review financial forecasts, variance reports, and industry drivers as part of the planning process. You will serve as a strategic business partner for leaders, leading strategic initiatives and supporting cross functional teams with high visibility and impact. Ideally, you are fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities of a product or process and can provide assistance on complex business issues. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Generate a comprehensive view of the business financials and identify risks and opportunities to business targets

  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to inform projections and reporting

  • Direct and aggregate financial plans and forecasts to provide a cohesive forecast

  • Coordinate responses to revenue and expense challenges for Consumer Bank consolidation

  • Identify gaps in reporting and planning processes and implement resolutions

  • Support Mortgage business decisions with ad hoc analyses

Additionally, you will help shape Mortgage strategy through:

  • Support pricing and profitability framework – aligning future P&L with current originations

  • Coordinate with functional departments to identify long-term strategy and optimize performance

  • Support business strategic direction and acquisition/divestiture decisions

  • Support and mentor talent in finance

  • Drive process improvement and simplification across the team

Qualifications, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • 7-10 years experience in Bank FP&A, with at least 2 years in mortgage

  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle Essbase. SQL or other database querying experience preferred.

  • Ability to operate in a multi-dimensional, matrix organization.

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the big picture, while working through the operational details required to construct a forecast / budget and complete the monthly close.

  • Working knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Financials, Ariba and Apptio a plus.

  • Detailed oriented, diligent with strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with business partners.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

  • Experience in process improvement and documentation a plus.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Effective written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • A proactive, action-oriented approach to problem solving.

Education/Certifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management or related field required

  • MBA / CFA a plus

    Pay Transparency

    The salary range for this position is $114,640- $171,960 per year. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
