Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager II in Redmond, Washington

The Microsoft Azure Compute Program Management team drives horizontal customer experiences across Azure Compute Services. We are focused on producing modern solutions in areas of performance, reliability and overall deterministic Compute experience driving customer satisfaction and providing a dependable environment for Mission Critical applications on Azure. We combine globe-scale platform big-data foundation with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques, distributed systems solutions and deep system acumen to drive innovation that allows us to define and operate our datacenters beyond what was possible in the past with traditional techniques. We have resources, industry connections and proven global leadership that helps us to continue delivering those platform innovations. Responsibilities

  • Work with customers and partner teams to identify scenarios and establish priorities.

  • Lead product planning areas for E2E (End-to-end) scenarios based on customer inputs and data insights.

  • Define OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and establish and execute on plans for improving KRs (Key Results).

  • Partner with the development teams on scenarios, product tradeoffs, incremental value delivery.

  • Create win-win engagements with partners across Azure and Microsoft to drive customer value.

  • Prepare and deliver high quality executive reviews.

  • Present to customers; use customer and partner feedback to continuously improve the product.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience working on distributed systems software.

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • Experience working on datacenter management systems.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
