Microsoft Corporation Senior finance Manager-Copilot/Commercial Devices in Redmond, Washington

The Senior Finance Manager -Copilot/Commercial Devices will lead the model design, coordination, consolidation, and submission of worldwide outlook, forecast and future-year geo targets for Microsoft 365 and Security Copilots, as well as support the Devices forecast and target-setting.

This is a very exciting opportunity to influence and drive impact for the fastest growing Artificial Intelligence (AI) products of the company. The role is part of the broader Modern Work, Devices, and Security (MWD/S) Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Head Quarters finance team and will collaborate closely with the Modern Work/Devices and Security pillars within the team as well as with the worldwide controller community.

Responsibilities

Prioritize:

  • Develops and maintains forecasting and planning approach, models, and processes for the AI products within Modern Work and Security factoring in market opportunity, execution strategy, expected returns, resource allocation, pricing, investment opportunities, etc.

  • Support the forecast and planning process for Devices in close collaboration with our team’s Devices subject-matter expert (SME).

  • Lead and coordinate the MCAPS revenue forecast and planning processes for two Copilots and Devices through consolidating insights from the product SMEs within the team.

  • Land revenue targets by helping the field understand key strategies, priorities, drivers and opportunities for growth for the products in scope

  • Partners with finance peers in other corporate teams, as well as field, solution area, and sales strategy groups for current business health insight, forecast and target alignment.

  • Act as a change agent, relentlessly seek opportunities to respond to business needs, optimize and drive scale.

Partnership

  • Supports incorporations of business insights and recommendations from peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue goals and drive shareholder return, including: revenue generation, resource allocation, trends, and future requirements. Manages and executes tasks and assigned processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with business leaders to align planning approach and reflect action plans for financial and business analysis findings.

  • Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context) to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis. Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks. Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of changes, and drives improvements in efficiency and accuracy.

  • Contributes to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models. Provides advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.

  • Leads efforts to leverage technology to increase productivity for forecasting and planning processes and to ensure accurate conclusions.

  • Integrates varied data sources and assimilates the information into a comprehensive, clear narrative. Communicates results in a compelling and understandable message. Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.

Protect

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Drives corrective measures. Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies. Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience

Additonal or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerPivot/PBI DAX, machine learning/ data science is a plus

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
