L3Harris Associate Engineer, Electronics Design 1 in Redmond, Washington

We seek Associate Electronics Design Engineer who will work out of our Redmond, WA, location.

The candidate as a recognized authority in Electrical Engineering with strong background in space power electronics design will develop state of the art power electronics for spacecraft electric propulsion and high power systems. Contribute to the ongoing innovation to commercialize, modularize, and reduce mass, cost, and complexity. Great communication skills, technical innovation, depth, breadth, and passion will enable you to work effectively with cross functional (electrical, mechanical, software, system, test) product development teams. You will work on all phases of product development from simulation/feasibility to design, test, production, and follow on support. You will work with major space contractors participating in space exploration and in commercial space activities.

In our Redmond, WA, site (Seattle area), we fabricate, assemble, and test chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion systems. Our electric propulsion systems enable a wide variety of missions from the exploration of our solar system to global communication and the surveillance of severe weather and wild fires.

Essential Functions:

Work within a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, software, system, project, test, and other engineers to perform the following:

Participate in proposals, feasibility studies, trade studies, and proof of concept work on complex electronics. These tasks may have immediate as well and future project and program impact.

Perform detailed circuit analysis, simulation, component stress analysis, and worst case analysis on complex circuits and systems.

Create schematics and oversee circuit board layout.

Bring up, verify, and debug circuits.

Develop and execute test plans.

Requires, Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or Master of Science degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering. Specific experience in advanced, high power, electronic power conversion and related designs is plus.

Must be self-starter and be proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Matlab and/or SPICE software. Solid academic track record and demonstrated teamwork experience required. Solid written and verbal skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $69,000 - $128,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
