SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan in compliance with the Joint Commission Standards. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, preventative maintenance, calibration and repair of moderately complex biomedical equipment and systems, including multi-component devices that may or may not be interconnected under guidance and direct supervision. May also coordinate vendor maintenance activities including project installations, maintenance, repair and recalls. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge level and experienced in most or all facets of job. Possesses an intermediate level of expertise and is capable of assisting less experienced staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical or Electronics Technology or related field or equivalent military training required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

  • IT Certification, such as networking or A++ preferred.

  • BMET certification preferred.
