IQVIA Senior Project Manager - Early Phase eSource in Reading, United Kingdom

Job Overview

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) role oversees the execution of our Clinical eSource Solution (‘ClinSpark’) implementation projects at customer Early Phase sites, ensuring delivery to customer expectations, to agreed timelines and within budget. The SPM is required to work with highly complex global multi-function customer project teams.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, initiate, execute, control and deliver the project in accordance with the Scope of Work agreed with the Customer.

• Serve as the primary contact for a given Customer to ensure communication is maintained and scheduled are adhered to.

• Inform the Customer's project team to ensure adequate resourcing of the project throughout its life cycle, referring to senior management for advice as appropriate.

• Track and supervise project progress, identifying and evaluating project risks throughout the project life cycle and taking advice from senior management on corrective action as appropriate.

• Coordinate and report on project progress, ensuring their prompt delivery to the customer’s satisfaction.

• Ensure all deliverables for a given sponsor are to the expected quality standards.

• Ensure that any third-party, IQVIA-responsible sub-contractors involved in the project are coordinated and managed effectively.

• Manage the project financials accurate and appropriately ensuring project goals are achieved to customer's expectations and within the scope of the project. Ensure revenue recognition and forecasts are calculated accurately and Change Order executed where appropriate.

• Keep leadership within the business unit fully informed of any project issues that may impact the quality and/or timeliness of project delivery to the customer’s satisfaction.

• Train and mentor new or junior Project Managers

• Provide input to line managers of project team members’ performance relative to project tasks to aid career development.

• Support proposal development, participate in bid defence presentations in partnership with Sales and other leaders and provide input on budget.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Life Science, Engineering or healthcare related discipline

• 6 years Project Management experience

• Early Phase trial experience preferred, particular if gained working in a busy CRO or Pharma Phase I unit

• Previous experience integrating and adopting software solutions, particularly eSource or EDC systems

• Data management or computer systems validation experience advantageous

• Good team leadership skills

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills

• Good ability to prioritize, schedule and organize

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to act independently and with initiative required in regard to solving problems.

• Excellent customer service skills

• Good Microsoft Office skills

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers

Please note, there may be some travel required for this position to support onboarding projects, but this is not expected to be frequent or extended.
