Vista Outdoor Outbound Dock Coordinator - Bell-Giro in Rantoul, Illinois

Job Description

The Outbound Dock Coordinator facilitates efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical, administrative and shipping tasks. They are responsible for all aspects of verifying and coordinating outbound loads for movement of product and documentation provided by the POD Coordinators. Additionally, they work closely with the guard and shipping dock team to manage and track all trucks entering our facility. This would include managing the dock doors on arrival and keeping inventory of LTL trailers that are dropped at our facility.

This position reports to the Shipping Lead and is based in our Rantoul, IL location.

As the Dock Coordinator you will have an opportunity to:

  • Work with Guardshack to confirm pickup #’s provided by drivers.

  • Coordinate with the outbound loading team.

  • Schedule LTL carriers for pick up.

  • Sort BOL’s provided by the POD teams.

  • Release Bills of Lading from Shiplinx to Post Goods Issue once the load has been picked up.

  • Verify and Monitor failed PGI shipments in ZMBOL and reports to the POD teams.

  • Create and print relevant loads sheet documents essential to the loading team.

  • Basic Data Entry

  • Data collection/research through Excel/SAP.

  • Any miscellaneous office functions that may need assistance (as directed by supervisor/manager.)

  • Serve as manifest operator backup as needed.

  • Fill in as Guard Station backup as needed.

  • Work with little supervision.

  • Observes all safety rules and regulations; exercises care and good judgement at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

  • Report all incidents/accidents/injuries immediately to Human Resources Safety Specialist.

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.

  • Good math skills.

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office applications, primarily Word and Excel.

  • SAP order entry/order processing experience desirable.

  • Automation /Numina system experience desirable.

  • Prior experience with maintaining database integrity desirable.

  • Experience & knowledge of “RF” Inventory systems a plus.

  • Previous 5S or Six Sigma background a plus.

  • Excellent data entry skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Strong customer focus.

  • Careful attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to establish and maintain productive and effective interactions with multiple departments.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently within deadlines.

  • Must maintain an organized work space.

  • Ability to be trained quickly & retain critical systems info.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Abilities :

  • Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and work at heights from floor to 30 feet high.

  • Lift and shift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Exercise proper utilization of team lifting for heavier items.

  • Manual dexterity for operating equipment/machinery.

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.

  • Be reliable and have good work attendance history.

  • Possess a positive attitude with a work ethic of the highest degree.

Environment:

Exposure to noise, dust, and climate changes

Hours/Compensation/Benefits:

Hours : 7:30am-4:00pm M-F + Sat as needed

Compensation: $18/hr.

Pay Range:

$14.90 - $21.06

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
