ManTech is responsible for assisting our Government customer ensure that material solutions developed or acquired by Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) are system engineered, integrated, interoperable, and certified to provide the warfighter with equipment required to accomplish their mission. To do that, ManTech assists our customer to conduct the detailed systems engineering analysis, establishes technical policies and guidance across the Command, and manage the technical investigation and distributed planning required to deliver world class Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) systems capabilities to the warfighter.

Job Summary: Performs as a technical expert in area of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Analytics, Simulation, mission modeling and requirements tracing, infrastructure to automate processes, engineering estimates to predict cost, schedule and performance of changes from the design baseline, Interface-Based Integration, architecture – and ability to generate and assess requirements when coupled with operational and architecture information, improve understanding of requirements to improve cost and schedule performance, models system states, allowing for parameter variances for more complete test coverage, generation of test matrices based on interface risk, models requirements and processes to generate technical data packages.

Clearance: Active DoD Secret is required with the ability to obtain Top Secret

General Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze new and existing technologies and tools to provide more efficient Digital Engineering development techniques and processes.

  • Promote and educate stakeholders on the use and value of MBSE.

  • Coordinate and facilitate MBSE-related technical and strategy discussions.

  • Develop Digital Engineering Models and Marine Corps compliant systems engineering artifacts.

  • Oversee multiple systems engineering projects and accurately represent stakeholder interests

  • Consolidate and report project status updates and issues.

  • Extend Architecture tool schemas, as required, to satisfy Marine Corps Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and data requirements.

  • Provide technical subject matter expertise to all MBSE development projects including communicating Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) decisions and mentoring other technical staff.

  • Facilitate and participate in the collaborative process of identifying and capturing MBSE data with engineers and technical subject matter experts.

  • Prepare and maintain technical systems or program documentation, integrated maser schedules, comment resolution matrices, presentations, and training material.

  • Develop solutions to program and project issues.

  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in MBSE meetings and events

Mandatory Skills and Education:

Bachelors Degree in a Scientific, Engineering, or Technical area and at least 4 years of MBSE related experience. Additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

MBSE experience must be within the last 10 years and include the following:

  • Digital Engineering development and analysis

  • Extensive experience with one or more of the following: MagicDraw, Innoslate, or Genesys

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: UML, SysML, UAF, UPDM, BPMN, IDEF

  • Superior written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and influence others to achieve desired results for the project.

  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively on multiple projects simultaneously.

Other Skills Preferred:

  • Have knowledge of Marine Corps Systems Engineering Processes, including the relationship between MCSC and DC, CD&I. Be familiar with the MCSC Acquisition Guidebook.

  • Technical education related to any of the following: data modeling, systems engineering, machine learning and predictive analysis, agile software development and build methodologies, or simulation.

  • Experience establishing server or cloud based collaborative engineering environments.

  • Knowledge of Marine Corps concepts, practices, procedures, systems and interfaces.

  • JCIDS and Defense Acquisition System process experience.

  • Understanding of Systems integration/API development, automated bulk export/import, and the ability to perform impact assessments.

Physical Requirements : Sedentary work
