Philips System Engineer Receive Coils in Pune, India

Job title:

System Engineer Receive Coils

You are responsible for

  • Elicit user and business requirements and through product requirements and design translate into receive coils sub-system requirements and design.

  • Manage complexity in a multi-disciplinary and international set-up.

  • Oversee that the requirements and design are implemented correctly by the Engineering team.

  • Drive design efforts for quality, safety, reliability, serviceability & cost.

  • Execute Risk Management for Receive Coils: risk assessment, risk control measures, impact assessments, risk management.

  • Lead cross-discipline feasibility studies, tradeoff analysis and cross sub-systems problem solving.

  • Support regulatory submissions activities to comply with all applicable medical standards/regulations.

  • Support life cycle management, complaint investigations and post market surveillance activities.

  • Contributes to future studies, technical concepts, and roadmap of the receive coils sub-system.

  • Maintain all sub-system level design documentation.

  • Actively maintain and advance our system engineering practices.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • A master’s degree in engineering discipline: physics, electronics

  • 10-year experience in high tech system design

  • Experience with specific healthcare regulations and regulatory bodies like FDA

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-functional team and experience in creating alignment between broad varieties of stakeholders (internal and external).

  • Accurate and quality minded with a continuous drive to improve.

  • Proven experience in leading a team of system engineers/developers in a corporate & global environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to empower and influence without the need to exercise authority.

  • Very strong analytical skills, proven ability to understand dependencies within a complex system & break it down in manageable tasks & plans.

  • Experience with Risk Management for Medical Devices.

  • Experience in Model Bases System Engineering and SysML modeling are a plus.
